Al Alamiah Group awarded 'Best Enterprise IT Solution Provider' at COMDEX

Al Alamiah Group, www.alalamiah.com, the largest IT company in the region, was recently awarded 'Best Enterprise IT Solution Provider' for its distinctive presence in the local markets, its exceptional performance and its total fulfillment of its customers' needs & demands, whether these customers are ministries, organizations or private establishments.

The bestowing of this prestigious award was announced during the events at COMDEX Jeddah 2004, the largest IT exhibition in the region, which is taking place from 14th - 17th March 2004.

The official opening of the exhibition took place on Saturday, 13th March 2004, at the Jeddah International Exhibition, under the patronage of HRH Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Mecca region in Saudi Arabia.

"This award embellishes Al Alamiah Group's exceptional record within Saudi Arabia and the region," stated Hamed Al Sharekh, Deputy Chairman, Al Alamiah Group & Chairman, Al Alamiah Group KSA. Al Alamiah Group, which consists of nine highly specialized companies dealing in IT, communications & digital technologies, is the largest IT contractor in the region, with its Head Quarters located in the Kuwaiti capital. The COMDEX exhibition in KSA is the Middle Eastern version of COMDEX, the largest international IT exhibition, originally hosted by Las Vegas, USA, and other major cities in Europe, Asia & Latin America. The Jeddah exhibition is considered fertile ground for attracting IT companies and for sealing major deals related to the Internet, software, PC, communications and other IT systems.

The exhibition which is organized by Al Dabbagh IT boasted approximately 250 local & international participants this year specializing in the IT & PC sectors. Exhibitors included stands from Canada, USA, Taiwan, Korea and UK. Observers expect that the total value of deals which will take place at this exhibition will exceed US$50 million, and will include deals with government organizations and private companies involved in the technology field.
