- PRESS RELEASE
At yesterday's inaugural Middle East Real Estate Conference organized by MEED Conferences, Wahid Attalla, Executive Director, Commercial and Operations for Nakheel delivered the keynote speech 'Examining investment opportunities in the real estate market'.
Discussing Dubai's population boom, Attalla said, "Future growth is scheduled to be strong with the population of Dubai reaching more than two million over the coming years. Naturally, with this growth comes the need for property and as has become evident over the last few years, this is something that Dubai has been working busily on". Dubai now currently has over 30 billion dollars in development underway.
Projects like The Palm, Jumeirah Lake Towers, The World, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubailand, Dubai Maritime City, Dubai Metals and Commodities Centre, Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai Healthcare City are all providing fantastic investment opportunities for investors, and the response to such projects has been phenomenal.
Commenting on why Dubai is a world-winning city Attalla referred to a property futures report by a reputed international property firm and mentioned that, "Emerging definitions of a city's success are based not on size but on connectivity, not on hierarchies but on networks and less on wealth and more on environment, quality of life, culture, city governance and marketing".
Attalla explained, "By every definition it is clear that Dubai through its connectivity, through its networks and through its unique environment provides the perfect recipe in the creation of a winning city. This is a city where people want to live, work and raise their families. This is a city in which people are investing - both personally and financially".
The diversity of Nakheel's projects was also emphasized by Attalla, "If you wish to buy a home in a warm, welcoming community environment close to Jebel Ali Free Zone then maybe you would be interested in The Gardens. Then again, it may be a house on stilts sitting on the sea where you can moor your boat then it has to be The Palm, Jebel Ali".
In conclusion Attalla said, "Ask plenty of questions but don't be afraid to wonder at the sheer scale and ambition of what is being created in this city today. Go and look at the various developments in Dubai and of course come and join us at the Nakheel sales office. See the wealth of opportunities in commercial and residential and across all price ranges that are available to you today".
