Samsung Electronics demonstrates innovation domination at CeBIT 2004

Samsung, the regional and global leader in digital technology aims to break new grounds by showcasing a broad range of innovative technologies at CeBIT 2004, held from March 18-24, 2004 in Hannover, Germany.

Named the world's fastest-growing brand for last two years by BusinessWeek magazine, Samsung's innovation can be seen across all its product categories showcased at the event.

Samsung is a design and technology leader in networked home entertainment products including large digital displays, home media centres, DVD-players, and home theatre systems; mobile phones and mobile intelligent terminals; notebook PCs; and office and home computing and printing devices.

Following its demonstration of several world-firsts at CeBIT 2003, this year sees more revolutionary and evolutionary advances from Samsung. Furthermore, Germany's Industrie Forum Design has recognised Samsung Electronics yet again for its excellence in design. Eight cutting-edge Samsung products have been honoured at the 2004 iF Design Awards. These models exemplify Samsung's commitment to provide advanced technology, innovative design, and functional products in the digital era.

A total of 36 Samsung products have been honoured by the Industrie Forum Design (iF Design) awards over the last six years, including 11 selections in 2001.

Demonstrating Samsung's design prowess in a range of digital products, the eight award-winning models in 2004 include the Bluechip PD Phone SPH-i500, the SCH-X800/SPH-X9100 Mobile Handset, the Flat Panel PDP TV System SPD 50P4H, the 17" and 22" Wide LCD TV LT-17N2/LT-22N2, the LCD Monitor SyncMaster 173P, the Hyper DVD Player DVD-HD931, the Canister-type Vacuum Cleaner VC-MBP 920, and the AIR Gesture-based Remote Control.
