Under the agreement, Aptec SA is responsible for distributing Acer's corporate range of products, including commercial desktops, servers, notebooks and monitors to resellers.
"Holding the position as the country's leading VAD specialist, we have witnessed first-hand the overall rise in demand for hardware from the corporate sector over the past few years," said Thierry Chamayou, general manager, Aptec SA.
"In particular, since Aptec SA entered the deal with Acer, we have noticed a strong pull in the market for the company's extensive and innovative range of products. With a reputation for reliability, our aim is to support Acer with the strong relationships we enjoy with resellers," said Chamayou.
Expansion in Saudi Arabia
Based on the new relationship with Aptec SA, Acer is strongly positioned to continue its growth in the country's corporate hardware market.
Aptec's fully integrated website - offering online services such as shopping (e-shop), order tracking, and accounts receivable - as well as its aggressive pricing strategy, promotions and marketing activities, will assist Acer in developing its presence in the Kingdom.
Sales in Saudi Arabia represent a significant portion of Acer's overall revenue for the Middle East. Since entering the deal with Aptec SA, Acer has experienced an increase in its hold on the country's corporate market.
