McDonald's and local suppliers discuss methods

In line with their continuous effort to provide training for their local supply chain and develop local suppliers, McDonald's have recently organized a conference in the United Arab Emirates, attended by their supply chain management, as well as numerous suppliers from the GCC, Africa, and the Subcontinent.
The conference included country updates and a series of workshops such as Quality Assurance Training, generating rich debate and discussions. It also offered the attendants the right forum to exchange expertise and lay forward fresh suggestions.
Representatives from McDonald's Middle East Development Company attended the conference along with experts in various supply fields.
"McDonald's has always been known for developing and working with local suppliers," said Ala Mohammad, Purchasing Director at McDonald's Middle East Development Company. "This conference was another manifestation of our firm commitment to support these suppliers as true partners. Our aim is to enhance their experience and synergize efforts with them in order to optimize our quality across the supply chain."
It is worth mentioning that the Local and Arab suppliers play a major role in McDonald's supply chain in the Middle East. This comes in parallel with McDonald's perpetual strategy to develop local and regional suppliers' capabilities and coordination, in order to better serve their local communities.
