- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, March 21 - 2004 at 14:03
- PRESS RELEASE
U.S. Robotics announced today that its Middle East Region was awarded Best Region for its overall performance in 2003 compared to other regions of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
"In 2003, U.S. Robotics enjoyed a fantastic performance with overall profitable sales growth in total revenue and revenue growth in all product lines. These results are indicative of how important having a reliable internet connection at home and in the office has become for the Middle East," says Yusuf Syed U.S. Robotics ME regional sales manager, "We had rapid growth in sales of wireless and ADSL products and our new 100Mb Wireless Turbo products show particularly strong results. We are dealing with a sophisticated technology market here which is showing great interest in new products and developments."
"In the Middle East life is becoming much more fast-paced. Every day people are faced with having to make quick accurate decisions to cope with the often-competing demands of a busy professional and home life. Fast Internet at home and at the office, together with the latest Wireless technology allows busy people to metaphorically cut free from their desks. Internet and company systems can now be accessed in the office, out of the office, at home and in many other countries.
"Wireless hubs or hotspots are emerging all over the region and soon people will be able to transfer from one network to another while walking down the street without missing a beat," says Yusuf Syed.
U.S. Robotics wireless networking and DSL products provide faster speed, better security and broader compatibility than competing products. The versatility and simplicity of U.S. Robotics products makes it easy to set up a wireless network with, or without, an existing wired network and without expensive infrastructure costs.
"In 2004, I am confident that U.S. Robotics will remain a leader in the wireless, ADSL and networking products for the home, small office and small business markets in the Middle East. We will extend our product line for the Middle East this year as use of the Internet becomes more and more important in this region" ended Peter Blampied.
