Johnson & Johnson Middle East commends Royal College Of Surgeons In Ireland for their commitment towards medical education in the Middle East

Johnson & Johnson Middle East applauded the efforts of RCSI on their continued commitment to the advancement of medical education in the Middle East with the establishment of their medical university in Bahrain at a presentation ceremony recently.

RCSI were in Dubai, for the very first time in conjunction with their 8th overseas meeting happening at the Grand Hyatt. The two-day scientific conference covered various areas of modern medical practice and was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai and the UAE Ministry of Health.

Speaking at the occasion, François Guénot - Managing Director J&J Middle East said, " Johnson & Johnson' s credo firmly guides our actions in fulfilling our responsibilities towards the customers and the community. We as a corporation stand for commitment towards excellence in medicine and social responsibility and have always associated with organizations or initiatives that work towards enhancing the existing standards of medical practice within the region. J&J Middle East is extremely thankful to RCSI for establishing the university, ensuring internationally recognized standards of medical education for all the aspiring health professionals in the region".

Michael Butler, President-RCSI on accepting the award said, " Johnson & Johnson's commitment towards medical excellence is commendable and as a global corporation, they have pioneered socially responsible routes for others to follow. Understandably, the response to the medical university has been overwhelming, facilitating our mission to provide international standards of medical education to students from the Middle East. On behalf of RCSI, I would like to thank Johnson & Johnson Middle East for recognizing our efforts and bestowing such an appreciative award".
