Tech Data names Adnan Al-Falah as new Managing Director

Tech Data FZ-LLC, the Middle East's leading information technology logistics management and distribution company, today announced the appointment of Adnan Al-Falah as it's new Managing Director.
Making way for the appointment of Al-Falah, Steve Lockie, the current Managing Director of Tech Data Middle UAE has been appointed as the Managing Director of Computer 2000, the UK subsidiary of the Tech Data group, effective from 1st June 2004. Lockie has been in the Tech Data Group for more than six years working initially as General Manager of the UK Networking Business and for the last five years as Managing Director of the Middle East operation.
Further complementing the appointment of Al-Falah, Jairaj Walder has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director of Tech Data FZ-LLC and will also assume his new position on the 1st June 2004. Walder currently holds the post of Finance Director of the company and over the last three years has been actively involved in implementing, maintaining and improving internal controls and ensuring high levels of compliance within the business.
Commenting on the above appointments, Vice President for Northern Europe for Tech Data, Andy Gass stated "I'm delighted that Steve will be returning to the UK to take the helm at Computer 2000. Through skilful management and strong leadership, he has built a very focused, committed and high-performing team in the UAE and led the business to strong revenue and profit growth. I am certain his experience will take Computer 2000 to further heights".
"Tech Data's performance has produced a consistent annual growth rate in excess of 25% coupled with a regional presence that went from a single Dubai-based regional office, to distribution hubs in the UAE, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait." commented Lockie. I wish them every success in their new roles." he added.
