Bavarian companies seeking to make new business liaisons at CABSAT 2002

For the first time, Bavaria, one of the strongest economic regions in Europe and in terms of growth, Germany's number one state, will have joint company participation at the Middle East International Cable, Satellite, Broadcast and Telecommunications Exhibition, to be held March 5-7, 2002 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

The Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport and Technology represented by Bayern International is coordinating participation in the Bavarian pavilion with the support of the Association of the Bavarian Chambers of Industry and Commerce.

Total Bavarian exports to the UAE in 2000 increased by 11.7% compared to 1999. During the period January - October 2001, Bavarian exports to the UAE increased by 42.7% as compared to the same period in 2000. Bavarian exports in the cable, broadcast, satellite and telecom market, which accounts for 6 per cent of all Bavarian exports to the UAE, increased at a rate of 42.5 per cent in the same period. In comparison, at a global level, Bavarian exports in this field increased by 8.5 percent.

"CABSAT 2002 will enable the Bavarian participants to link with a range of key business contacts in the Middle East region, the exhibition draws visitors from throughout the region and provides an ideal opportunity for organisations seeking to gain a foothold, to introduce themselves and begin networking with the decision-makers in both the private and public sector," said Vijay Menon, International Project Manager for CABSAT 2002.

Nine companies will take part in the Bavarian Pavilion and showcase a range of products, services and technology from the region. Among the participants will be Rohde & Schwarz, the only supplier of a complete range of transmission, monitoring and measurement equipment for analog/digital world-wide, with more than 50 years of experience in sound and TV broadcasting.

Transtechnik Lichtsysteme GmbH & Co. KG will display systems, services and components that cover every aspect of lighting control technology, studio automation and multimedia control. While its partner, Media Technical Systems (MTS), will feature a range of hoist systems, including motorised yokes at the event. Nesys Lichtsysteme will showcase cool softlights that use fluorescentic tubes, which are available for tungsten and daylight color temperature.

P&S Technik, best known for its Arriflex upgrade and conversions, will feature a wide range of products for the Cine/Digital industry and high precision optical equipment while Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup will showcase digital patch bays and mixing systems as well as system-compliant communication components. IABG mbH will feature its integral solutions for wide-ranging scientific, technical and economic/organizational problems and the focus of Ambient Recording GmbH's display will be on portable equipment for broadcast and film, including Clockit timecode, Quickpole booms, black boxes and tiny microphones.

Sedlbauer AG, another participant from Bavaria, will feature ISDN and ADSL adapters and modems. It will also display cases and control cabinets for communication systems and power supply units.
