Dubai Quality Group prepares for second 'Quality in Higher Education' Conference

The Chairman of the Dubai Quality Group, Mr. Ahmed Al Banna, and Ms. Badriya Tamimi, Manager, met with Mr. Elias Bu Saab, Vice President, American University in Dubai, and Ms. Dania Al Bazzy of the American University in Dubai to discuss preparations for the Quality in Higher Education Conference 2004.
Ahmed Al Banna, Chairman of the Dubai Quality Group, said, "Dubai Quality Group hosted the conference to raise awareness of the strategic role of quality management systems in educational organisations with the objective of creating higher standards in the educational sector. We have an ongoing commitment to support educational organisations to help them conform to standards of quality and excellence."
"This major step is the result of last year's success of Quality in Higher Education 2003, which was held on 22nd, 23rd October 2003 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research. I am glad to witness the results of our hard work and commitment to contribute to the advancement of my generation and generations ahead."
Based on the feedback survey, the participants found the speeches of the key note speakers beneficial, 81% of the participants found the conference to be a good opportunity to network with other organisations and to share educational practices with them, and 98% of the participants expressed their interest in attending such a conference again next year.
