HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honours the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Awards for Small and Medium Enterprises

H.H Shiekh Hamdan bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Mohammed Bin Rashid Est. For Young Business Leaders, speaking at the special ceremony held at Jumierah Beach Hotel said, "The vision of our leader, Father of the nation H.H Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of UAE, is very evident in the success and achievements of the present day UAE."

"The vision of our wise leadership is witnessed in the great projects which were established by the pioneer of Dubai's development H.H Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. These projects were the basis of nurturing the development process which was followed up under the continued support of H.H Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister, Ruler of Dubai." Said HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed.

"The occasion that we are celebrating today is also one of the results of our wise leadership's vision." added His Highness

Talking about the objectives of the Establishment HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said," The Establishment for the Young Business Leaders is contributing to achieving the aim of the nation to maintain the dignity of the nation and catalyze the status of the citizens through supporting the youth in entering the business world, enhancing their role in national economy and enabling them to achieve their personal ambitions."

He said that under the directives and patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Establishment has achieved great success although it was launched less than 20 months ago.

His Highness said, "This success is not only evident by the increase in the number of the projects under the Establishment to 971 projects but also in the commitment of the Establishment to encourage the youth towards creativity and originality."

Addressing the gathering HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said, "Today we are celebrating some of these distinguished youth who have won the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Small & Medium Enterprises and the Establishment is honouring these young people for their achievements and creativity which is a proof that the success stories of our first generation of businessmen and national trading groups can be repeated."

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed concluded, "H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, you have taught us that success has no limits and excellence is achievable. On this occasion we promise you to commit to what you have taught us and what you direct us towards by offering all possible support to our brothers and sisters who are the future of our country."

The Mohammed bin Rashid Awards for Small and Medium Enterprises were presented in 9 categories and Best Start-Up Business for Male and Female; Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Male and Female besides the awards in special categories.

The winner of the Best Start-Up Business of the Year (Male) 2004 is Suhail Ahmad - Suhail Ice Cream and Best Start-Up Business of the Year (Female) 2004 Widad Ibrahim.AL Hammadi - Dunes Town.

Best Health & Well-Care Business Award 2004 winner is Dr. Anwar Hamdan Sajwani - Laser Medical Center; Best Tourism Business Award 2004 is Adil Obaid Al Bah - Al Fajr For Haj & Omra while the Best IT Business Award 2004 went to Mohamed Ahmed Al Ali - Emirates Consulting Group.

Best Manufacturing Business Award 2004 is awarded to Ahmed Mohd Al Rafi - X COM Electronics Industries; Best Consulting & Professional Business Award 2004 won by Ahmad Mohd Noor Tahlak - The Teleservices Company.

Best Education Business Award 2004 went to Omar Mohamed Al Awadi from Technologies; Best Design Business Award 2004 to Khalid Abdulhaq Al Najjar - DXB Lab and Best Retail Business Award 2004 to Yousif Saad Al Busmait - Wadeema Jewelries.

Best Facility Management Business Award 2004 winner is Mansoor Khalifa Bin Habtoor - Al Habtoor Valtrans Transportation Systems & Services.

The Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Male) 2004 is Ahmad Mohd Noor Tahlak -The Teleservices Company while the Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Female) 2004 is Maryam Al Noori - Intra flora.

Best Government Entity in Supporting Young Business Leaders 2004 was awarded to Director General (Qassim Sultan) - Dubai Municipality and Best Private Company in Supporting Young Business Leaders 2004 awarded to Managing Director (Gerarld Lawless) - Jumeirah International.

Leader in Entrepreneurial Education 2004 was awarded to Director (Dr. Tayeb Kamali) - HCT:Abu Dhabi Men's College while Best Service Provider 2004 went to Partner (Cynthia Trench) - Trench & Associates.

The Business Leader Personality of the Year 2004 was awarded to Chairman (Majid Saif Al Ghurair) - Shuaa Capital (P.S.C).
