Al Sulaimani has held senior positions with many of the InterContinental Hotels Group properties in the Kingdom over a 17 year career with the company and was also the first Saudi National to take up a general manager position for Holiday Inn.
In 1996 he was awarded the General Manager of the Year award by Holiday Inn Worldwide.
With a BA in Hotel Management and Business Administration from Houston College in the US, he started his career in the hospitality industry in 1984 and was soon promoted to director of personnel by the Saudi Hotels & Resort Area Company. In 1986 Al Sulaimani was appointed general manager of the Al Baha Palace Hotel before joining InterContinental Hotels Group.
