Dubai Media City's Media Bazaar offers fun-filled entertainment and shopping

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, March 23 - 2004 at 15:44
  • PRESS RELEASE

Dubai Media City will organise the Media Bazaar, its annual community event that offers unique shopping and entertainment attractions for families at the City's amphitheatre on Friday, April 2, 2004.

The day-long Media Bazaar will offer a vast range of first and second-hand products including CDs, records, videos, cameras, books, magazines, arts & crafts, exhibitions and much more.

A major attraction at the Media Bazaar this year will be South African strongman Mark Crooke's attempt to break his own Guinness World Record for pulling trucks. Crookes, who is popularly known as Mark the Truck Puller, will be seeking to establish a new world record by pulling 16 trucks weighing 150 tonnes along a distance of over 30 metres.

Apart from Mark's inspiring world-record attempt, the event will also provide a fun-filled experience for families with several amusements for all age groups. Performances by street artists, a variety of delightful activities for children, live DJ music and FM coverage and other cultural and novelty shows will add excitement and sparkle to the event. A range of delectable cuisines will also be on offer at the Media Bazaar.

"The Media Bazaar is a fun-filled event we have created for the media industry to interact and build bridges with the larger community," said Mr. Mohamed Al-Mulla, Senior Partners Relations Manager, Dubai Media City. "More than any other industry, the community is a key factor in the media industry's activities. The Media Bazaar will help the industry strengthen their ties with the community. The event, for example, offers a variety of opportunities for vendors to reach out to buyers of their products. Consumers will also have access to a large selection of media products from a wide range of brands," he added

For media original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), retailers and distributors, the event will offer a prime opportunity to pitch their products and services to a focused audience. The Bazaar will be an excellent opportunity for them to reach their market by offering optimum exposure for their products and services and their companies. The event will also be a good vehicle for advertising and promotions.

The event has attracted a host of sponsors including Raymond Sports, Moments, Al Koufa, Al Jaber Optical Centre, Seven Days, ARN, City Info, Gulf News, Artes, MMI, Dubai Creative Plastic, Mumyazz Tent, Fun Corners, Hobby Centre

The Media Bazaar will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Friday, April 2, 2004 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
