Iraq, 14,000MW power by 2007

Iraq will have 14,000MW of installed power generation capacity by 2007, up from 9,600MW in 2002, Iraqi consultant Dr Muhson Shlash told a conference in Abu Dhabi this week. He noted that three power contracts worth a total of USD850m had been signed in the past three months, and power would reach 12,000MW this year.
