Syriatel selects Oracle E-Business Suite to streamline business processes

Oracle Corporation, the world's largest enterprise software company, today announced that the leading Syrian GSM provider Syriatel has selected Oracle E-Business Suite including Oracle Financials and Oracle Purchasing to streamline its business processes, improve decision making ability and make the company's key financial data accessible online while gaining enhanced control of its finance-related processes.
"Our objective is to enhance competitive advantage, and with Oracle E-Business Suite, all of Syriatel's financial information will be consolidated and available in real-time, which makes us a more efficient, productive, and knowledge-based organization," stated Nader Kalai, CEO, Syriatel.
He added, "After the implementation Syriatel will have a greater control over key business processes, with increased transparency and faster processing and closing cycles."
With this move, Syriatel joins a number of leading Middle East telecom companies who are already enjoying the benefits of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i - companies like Batelco, Al Watanyah Telecom, OmanTel, and MobileCom.
