Emaar to sponsor Kahayla Classic at Dubai World Cup 2004

Emaar Properties will extend its association with the world's finest horse racing event by once again sponsoring the USD250,000 Dubai Kahayla Classic horse race, part of the prestigious Dubai World Cup 2004 to be run on Saturday March 27 2004 at Nad Al Sheba.
"The Dubai World Cup enjoys immense stature and popularity. As developers of the Arabian Ranches, we are delighted to continue being part of this exciting event and are committed towards providing complete support to ensure its success," said Mr. Al Othaimin.
Meanwhile, Emaar will host the official Dubai World Cup Golf tournament for riders, trainers and invited guests on March 26 at the 18-hole championship The Desert Course at Arabian Ranches, the company's prestigious equestrian and golf themed development. The tournament, which has attracted 60 guests, will be individual stableford, played over nine holes with a shotgun start at 10am.
The Group One Dubai Kahalya Classic race for purebred Arabians was won last year by Bopp Moon, Richard Hills astride.
The Dubai World Cup, which is in its ninth year of running, will feature five Group 1 races, and two Group 2 races, and offers a total of US$15.25 million prize money. The race programme attracts the very best thoroughbreds and Arabians from the Middle East, North and South America, Europe, Australasia and the Far East. Other exciting races include the UAE Derby, The Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Sheema Classic, Dubai Golden Shaheen and Godolphin Mile.
