- PRESS RELEASE
Hilton International, one of the world's leading hotel brands, has announced plans to open a new luxury resort hotel in Kuwait by the end of March, bringing the total number of Hilton properties in the Arabian Gulf to 14.
Located 15 minutes from Kuwait city centre and five minutes from the international airport, the new hotel is targeted at both the corporate and leisure markets. Complementing the main 147-room hotel, guests can choose from 80 two-bedroom chalets situated along the beachfront, together with an additional 62 self-contained studios fitted with kitchenette for long-term accommodation.
Built on one of the longest private beaches in Kuwait, stretching for 1.7 kilometres, the property's outdoor activities include a Hiltonia Beach Club encompassing two outdoor swimming pools, a scuba diving centre and various water-sports facilities. In addition, a fitness centre, offering aerobics classes, and a 3km jogging and walking track has been created within the grounds. More importantly, for the first time in the country, a unique Aquamedic Spa will be equipped with a thalasso-therapy pool offering specialised massage and hydrotherapy treatments.
Synonymous with the Hilton brand throughout the world, the hotel's conference and banqueting facilities will offer state-of-the-art equipment. The Hilton Meetings® facilities include eight meeting rooms, a dedicated 24-hour business centre, conference facilities, and executive room amenities in all hotel rooms. For corporate events or banquets, the lavishly appointed ballroom will cater for up to 1,000 people.
Elsewhere in the hotel, guests can choose from a variety of six international restaurants including the world-renowned Blue Elephant restaurant, which will be serving the very best in South East Asian delicacies for the first time in Kuwait. Other international outlets include the popular Pizza Express offering Italian food, and the coffee giant Starbucks. In addition, guests can sample international or Mediterranean cuisine at Teatro, Middle Eastern dishes and shisha in the Courtyard, or drinks and snacks in the Songbird café or Wavebreaker poolside bar.
