Thirty-nine-year-old Watson has been an essential part of the DHL UAE management team which has driven record revenue growth over the last four years. Under Watson's management the sales force has expanded dramatically, bringing in high quality business and inspiring the team to sell solutions as well as service.

"Duncan has been a driver in the development of new IT sales management tools, helping the sales-force rapidly access all account data needs and increase efficiency," said David Wild, DHL UAE, General Manager.

Watson is a holder of the coveted Bill Walden Award, presented bi-annually by DHL, the leading air express provider, to high performing managers across the world.

"Duncan last year was the only recipient of the award from the Middle East and his hard work has now been recognised not only by this honour but also by this very worthy promotion," said Wild.
"The presentation of the Bill Walden award to Duncan recognised his ability to identify business opportunities and develop them, his sound analytical skills, practical business approach and ability to communicate at all levels. These are skills he will now utilise in his new regional role," said Wild.

Watson, who joined DHL in Cambridge in his native England in 1991, will now relocate from Dubai to Bahrain to take up his new role.

Watson will now take on a number of exciting challenges in the coming year as business and opportunities within the region continue to expand. He will be the driver in rolling out key marketing projects throughout the region.

"With so much going on within the new 'yellow' DHL the future looks bright and it looks like a fantastic challenge," said Watson.
