Built with a total investment outlay of AED 11 million (about USD 3 mln), it is dedicated to demonstrate proof of concept for futuristic technologies and is custom designed by the Visionaire Technology Group Inc.
Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research along with Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem and several other dignitaries including ambassadors, consuls and leading business people of Abu Dubai and Dubai, inaugurated the opening of the building and took a personal tour of the dedicated technology space.
Divided into 11 technology spaces, all named with the starting letter 'A', each tech-space has a unique application displayed and demonstrated to actual life.
The invitees experienced a live Conference with Nancy Knowlton, the CEO of Smart Technologies Inc. from Calgary, Canada with whom Mr. Russ Erickson, Sales Director, demonstrated real time live application sharing and Data Conferencing including saving of annotations and notes by both parties sharing the same screen. Sheikh Nahayan and Sultan bin Sulayem congratulated the team at Visionaire on their vision and investment made in creating a unique landmark dedicated to technology.
Mr. Aseem Gupta, President of Visionaire Technology Group made a presentation on Crossing the Digital Divide - 2010 where he spoke about and demonstrated several new technologies that will achieve ground breaking results in the coming years. These technologies include wearable computers, Internet 2 - also called ggg (Great Global Grid).Mr. Gupta also said: "We strongly believe in creating centric environments for perpetual learning by millions of knowledge seekers from all walks of life. Worldwide networked learning will replace place-bound learning environments."
The guests got a guided tour aroung the extremely modern and fashionable complex.
The Campus @ Visionaire has dedicated demonstration spaces for the Future Home, the Future Hotel Room, Distance Collaboration Meeting Rooms and Board Rooms and a high tech Classroom built to exactness in terms of demonstrating State-of-the-Art Technology. Every device including air-conditioning and lighting in the rooms is intelligent and capable of being controlled from any phone, hand-held devices and several other customised interfaces that Visionaire creates custom software control solutions for.
The entertainment in the building is Internet Controlled with playlists that pop up on any networked or wireless device. Just press a button and the song of your choice will follow you anywhere you go - it even follows you in the gardens and terraces of the building playing back though discreet speakers that resemble flower pots and rocks.
One can send video, audio and data to any part of the world that has an internet connection and the campus has devices that will capture and simultaneously stream video, audio and data over the internet making it possible for several participants to review and share the same applications.

The building infrastructure, interiors and layouts were all designed internally in the company without any outside support.
