- PRESS RELEASE
Motorola is launching its newest 3G multi-media phone, the A835, hot on the heels of Etisalat's announcement that they are starting 'Mubashir', the region's first 3G service.
Users can send messages to compatible phones or PCs accompanied by songs, videos, pictures and ring-tones. Other multi-media features include the integrated camera which can be used to take pictures or as a video phone to see and hear friends whilst on a call.
"The launch of Etisalat's 3G service puts the infrastructure in place for our customers to maximise the potential of their 3G Motorola phones," said Amer Husaini, VP and Director of Product Operations Motorola Personal Communications Sector, Europe, Middle East, Africa & South Asia.
Husaini added that A835 customers have the added benefit of experiencing the latest in mobile gaming on a large colour screen, complete with special effects similar to those of a real arcade game.
Etisalat's "Mubashir" is the new brand name for the state-of-the art 3G service, which offers 3G enabled Video Calling and High-speed mobile Internet access. As an all-in-one package, it also includes Multi-Media Messaging subscription, providing the best in connectivity and content for customers owning the latest 3G compatible phones such as the Motorola A835.
"The Mubashir brand signals the live connectivity, speed and simplicity of this next generation service, which is among the first in the world being offered to both pre-paid and post-paid mobile customers," says Etisalat. Motorola's A835 phone has been tested and type approved by Etisalat.
