DTCM Press Office at Dubai World Cup praised

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Press Office at the Dubai World Cup was highly praised for its state-of-the-art facilities and services by the most discerning journalists present at the event.
"Media plays a pivotal role and is the most important tool in disseminating news and issues across the globe. By providing the best of the facilities and speedy services to the international and local media, we have in a way complemented our efforts to enable Dubai reach millions of people all over the world," he said.
He noted that the department also hosted the visit of 35 international journalists to the emirate to cover the event. "Sponsoring such visits is one of the integral strategies of the DTCM to promote the destination," said Mr. Eyad.
About 350 foreign and 550 local journalists and photographers from 35 countries covered the event. "This shows the high level of interest the Dubai World Cup has created among the sports enthusiasts all over the world," he said.
Mr. Eyad noted the Media center was equipped with hi-tech, user-friendly equipments and facilities. "The Press Office accommodated about 250 journalists and photographers and with state-of-the-art equipments, communication was established with any part of the world in no time".
This is for the ninth consecutive year that the department sponsored the Press Office at the Dubai World Cup. "We will continue to do so every year and provide the best and latest services to the local and overseas media and at the same time win their appreciation," added Mr. Eyad.
