At CeBit, BinTec also launched its new VPN Access product family. The gateways offer a multitude of mechanisms to provide a secure, highly available VPN (Virtual Private Network) as well as load balancing and many different backup options. The VPN Access line includes five different device types, each of which are geared specifically to the individual needs of companies of different sizes. Another highlight is the new 7.1.1 software release, which expands the functions of the X-Generation routers to include content filtering, e-mail alert and load balancing. Another innovation is PPPoE Server functionality, for release 7.1 and later, which is implemented in all the BinTec routers currently available on the market.

With such technologies as VPN via IPSec, the Stateful Inspection Firewall and a comprehensive high-availability and redundancy concept, Bintec is able to provide secure and reliable remote access to sensitive corporate data. Bintec also supplies flexible complete solutions to connect home offices, field sales representatives and branch offices to their company headquarters.
