DM starts yearlong workshops

Dubai Municipality yesterday started its year-long workshops on Total Quality Management for its employees.

The Municipality conducted a number of Total Quality Management workshops during 2001, which was participated by more than 2000 employees from different departments and sections of the civic body.

"After the successful training sessions on Total Quality Management in 2001, we are starting the courses again this year. This time too we hope to provide training to a good number of employees," said Ibrahim Moosa, Head of Human Resource Development Section in the Personnel Department of Dubai Municipality.

He said that the training course on Total Quality, conducted at the Municipality Staff Club, has been included in the 2003-2004 budget of the department.

"Our own facilitators will be used for providing training to the employees. We have qualified personnel certified by the American consultancy and training firm, ODI (Organisational Dynamics Inc.)," said Moosa.

Founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970 by the acclaimed author and thought leader, George H. Labovitz, the ODI is a well-reputed international corporation offering integrated consulting and training services. It has worked with over 2000 leading organizations in the world.
