The ministry, which is responsible for the education of more than 18 million students, has invested in the projectors as part of its initiative to establish a modern infrastructure in Iran's schools.

"The Ministry of Education in Iran has demonstrated that it is committed to its technological expansion programme, which aims to enhance the educational experience of the 18 million students that are under its care, by investing in this way," said Robert Dung, managing director, BenQ Middle East.

BenQ has been active in the Iranian market for nine years, and maintains a dedicated channel that promotes its business with government departments and ministries.

"We are pleased that BenQ is playing an important role in supplying the youth of Iran with these high definition tools. Digital projectors in the classroom enable students to learn with the assistance of crisp, clear images. The ministry should be commended for its dedication to creating classrooms equipped with up-to-the-minute technology," said Dung.

In Iran, the government is committed to providing quality education, with access to general education provided for free to all children. During the past 20 years, the education system has been reformed by the government several times to meet the demands of the changing society, and ensure young people are prepared for the competitive job market.

BenQ's relationship with its distributor in Iran, Mana Kavir Co., has helped to develop the company's presence in the Iranian education market.

"Based on our company being established since 1991, we have been able to build up strong relationships with key decision-makers in Iran. We are pleased that our network has enabled BenQ to provide the children of Iran with high-quality technology products," said Hossein Kazemzadeh, sales and marketing director, Mana Kavir Co.

BenQ's digital projectors will provide teachers with a valuable tool for illustrating key points in lectures and showing educational films for students.

The ministry selected BenQ's PB2120 model because of its performance capabilities. The BenQ PB2120 delivers the power and functionality needed to operate in a streamlined environment. Compact in size, the PB2120 has a bright 2000:1 contrast ratio at 1,2000 ANSI lumens.

"By boosting the use of technology in Iran's schools, the ministry is actively ensuring that the young people of today are prepared to drive the economy forward in future years," said Manish Bakshi, director and COO, BenQ Middle East.

"BenQ is proud to be part of the growing educational sector in Iran and we look forward to assisting on other levels in years to come," concluded Bakshi.
