Thai delegation visits Dubai Municipality

A six-member delegation from the Burapha University of Thailand visited Dubai Municipality on Wednesday to get a brief about the urban development methods adopted by Dubai.
The Thai delegation was also given a brief about the activities of the Planning and Surveying Department and the tasks taken up by the different sections of the department.
The Thai delegation, headed by Meechai Ruchupan, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and Chairman of the Burapha University Council, also included Prayoon Chindapradist, Advisor, Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Thai Military Bank, Professor Suchart Upatham, President, Burapha University, Assistant Professor Suda Suwannapirom, Director, Graduate School of Commerce, Burapha University, and Supatdra and Saran, two executive students of the university.
The members of the delegation expressed their appreciation of the tremendous progress achieved by Dubai in a short span of time due to its meticulous planning in different fields of development.
"Though we are 90 km east of Bangkok in the Chonburi province, we have heard a lot about Dubai. It is very famous for city planning and infrastructure facilities provided for the benefit of its people as well as for investors. We wanted to know how Dubai achieved this progress and what were the methods of planning adopted by Dubai Municipality," said a member of the delegation.
