Dominic McGill, Fairs and Exhibitions Project Manager, Gulf Print, said that the "Upex Village will provide a focal point for dealers and end users alike, to meet and do business in a 225sqm area at Gulf Print which is being held at the Airport Expo from 19-22 September 2004."

"This is a first for Gulf Print and will add great value to the Exhibition. With the expanding printing industry in the Gulf Region, Upex Village is expected to be quite popular for companies who want to sell their used equipment or buy reconditioned machines," he added.

Mike Steele, UPEX Organiser, said: "The Middle East market has always been of particular importance to the used machinery sector. Many visitors from the area have attended previous shows in the UK and this is an opportunity for them to meet dealers closer to home. GULF PRINT will provide the perfect venue to launch UPEX Village. With its focus on new technology and accompanying packaging exhibition it is bound to create opportunities for the sale of used equipment".

Already dealers from Europe have signed up to exhibit. In the press sector for example, as well as a range of dealers offering sheet-fed litho equipment, Goss specialists Grafitec Web plc will be there. Jim Brown, from well-known binding machine specialists Bindery Machinery Services, and a regular UPEX exhibitor said "we already have several good customers in the region and I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet more through Gulf Print".

Steele concluded "The UPEX Village will provide a unique environment with meeting rooms, refreshments, translation and communications services - everything to make sure that a proposed deal can be achieved smoothly and efficiently".
