After many years of successfully finding properties in the UK for their clients, Sherwoods Independent Property Consultants have used their expertise to find themselves a new office in Dubai.

They are the latest company to take up residence in the Emarat Atrium building, located near Interchange No. 2 on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. "Although we deal mainly with residential properties in the UK, we also handle commercial sales, so we know a good location when we see one. We are delighted to have moved into this state-of-the-art building," said Iseeb Ur Rehman, Sherwoods' Managing Director.

Sherwoods have been doing business in the Gulf region since 1989 and are the longest established UK property consultancy in Dubai. They provide their clients with a one-stop service, covering property searches, acquisitions, legal services, mortgages and re-mortgages, lettings, property management and maintenance and sales. In an average year, Sherwoods' clients contribute an inward investment to the UK of ₤50,000,000. Sherwoods aims to help people and businesses who are thinking of buying a property in the UK by taking most of the work, worry and aggravation out of the process, whilst at the same time, saving them time and money.

"We do not try to persuade anyone to buy a property they cannot afford. However, by advising people on how to adjust their needs or their financial provisions, ownership of a UK property can become a reality for them rather than remain an unfulfilled dream," says Iseeb Ur Rehman. "On first contact we try to establish that our customers' plans are realistic, or can be made so. The next step is an in-depth discussion of the customer's requirements, usually in a free consultation. When we both understand clearly what the requirements are and if we consider that your plans are viable, then we will offer to act for you. We will undertake to find you the property you want, in the area you want, at the price you are prepared to pay.

"Sherwoods is not an estate agent and does not have any incentive or obligation to sell any particular properties. We work as a buyer's agent. The fee for this service varies with the value of the property you buy. (Terms and conditions are available on request). We inspect properties on behalf of our customers until we have identified at least three properties that fit their requirements, and we will then invite customers to view them. If none of the suggested properties are approved we will continue to search and inspect other properties until we find one that the customer likes. "Once the customer decides to buy, details such as mortgage, solicitors, insurance and the provision of utility services, can be arranged by Sherwoods. All the customer has to do is decide how much to borrow and plan how to furnish their new home."
