- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) recently released the all-new second addition of Dubai Pocket Book.
The DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mr. Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, said that the sole idea behind this guide is to help visitors as well as residents of the emirate to get complete information about the destination. "The pocket guide contains information about the happenings, places to visit and details about almost everything one wants to know about Dubai."
He noted that the 151-page booklet offers readers comprehensive information, neatly spread out on glossy art paper with perfect binding. "It covers all essential data on travel and tourism in the emirate, including information on airlines, sightseeing, tours, safaris, sports facilities, shopping, dining, entertainment and hotels," said Mr. bin Hareb.
In addition, there is a section which details of important aspects of Dubai, including information about the region's history, culture, population, visa and customs regulations, health requirements, climate, clothing and lifestyle.
Mr. bin Hareb noted that the pocket guide will be appreciated and liked by tourists because of its size and user-friendly approach.
The department has printed 60,000 copies, which are available at the DTCM Head Office and at the Visitor Information Bureaus located in the shopping malls. The copies of the booklets have been sent to the DTCM's 13 Overseas Offices. The German version of the Dubai Pocket Guide will be released soon.
