- PRESS RELEASE
As the deadline approaches for receiving entries for the 2004 Emirates Businesswomen's Award (7th April), organisers Shell and Dubai Quality Group (DQG), are extremely pleased by the number and quality of applications received so far.
The panel of judges will review each short-listed application, making an indepth assessment of how the applicants have measured up against the criteria, and advise each of them on steps they can take to enhance their performance and capabilities in the future. Shell and DQG hope that the self-assessment tool will help the women in moving ahead in their careers and achieving their goals.
"We can proudly say that women in the UAE are totally involved in the economic development of the country and balancing their commitment to home and family at the same time. They truly operate in a multi-tasking environment. We are hoping to receive more applications this week before we close the entry, "said Hussain Al Mahmoudi, External Affairs Manager, Shell Markets Middle East.
The last date for submitting entires is Wednesday, 7th April. Judges will then begin the evaluation process that will culminate in an award presentation ceremony in Dubai next month.
