  • PRESS RELEASE

DaimlerChrysler Middle East has launched a bi-lingual Web site that provides complete information on Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, the world's market leading luxury nameplate.

"This venture into web-based marketing is designed to drive traffic to our Mercedes-Benz showrooms across the region," said Per V. Rasmussen, President and CEO, DaimlerChrysler Middle East. "We plan to add Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles, Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep(R) brands, smart and Maybach to show the infinite possibilities within DaimlerChrysler."

It features regularly updated local and international Mercedes-Benz passenger car news and events, information on the complete range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, and a general distributor locator which links with their specific content and dedicated country-websites.

"We will include a Middle East Car configurator in the next few months to allow customers to choose and email a selected vehicle specification to their local distributors to obtain a price," added Rasmussen.

The Web site, www.mideast.mercedes-benz.com, was developed by DaimlerChrysler Middle East's e-commerce co-ordinator Arndt Schmidtmayer.
