Barista launches 'Take-Home' Arabica Coffee blends for enthusiasts
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, April 07 - 2004 at 15:51
- PRESS RELEASE
Barista has launched a range of pre-packaged single origin coffees designed specifically for home consumption.
Srinidhi Rao, General Manager for Barista Middle East, said: "As a nation of coffee drinkers, the UAE provides a perfect market to introduce our range of pre-packaged single origin ground Arabica blends. The freshness of flavour is ensured by air freighting the coffee direct from the roaster in Venice, Italy to the UAE within in a couple of days of packaging, thus ensuring the purest and freshest of flavour."
The green beans are sourced from key coffee producing regions, such as Cuba, Guatemala and the Caribbean Islands of Haiti, Santo Domingo and Salvador. The beans are then sent to Barista roastmaster, Bernardo Della Mea, one of Italy's leading coffee experts, who then roasts and packs the coffee, specifically for Barista.
The Caribbean blend provides drinkers with the perfect morning coffee; this finely balanced blend infuses an intense flavour with a bouquet of chocolate, while the Guatemala Huehuetenango offers a powerful essence with a pleasant hint of walnuts. The Cuba Caracolillo is blended from 100 percent Peaberry Arabica beans, which are lightly roasted to safeguard their intense aroma and delicate sweetness, obtained from a well defined vein of chocolate.
The Barista pre-packaged range also includes a decaffeinated blend, designed for those who prefer to experience coffee flavour, without the caffeine boost. The Barista Decaf Blend has taken the finest Arabica beans from Brazil, Columbia, India and Costa Rica, to create a unique taste experience. Once brewed, the coffee expresses a grand personality that is both intense and sweet, with a light body and low acidity.
In addition to the take-home pre-packaged coffees, Barista has also created a high quality home-brewing coffee kit, which includes a classic French press (cafetiere) and 200gms of top grade Arabica beans.
"We want people to enjoy Barista coffees both in our cafés, but also provide them with an opportunity to enjoy them at home. With our home-brewing kits, we are looking to extend the joy of coffee across the emirates."
