Promoting Emirates as the "Employer of Choice", representatives of the company's National Recruitment & Development department are discussing career development opportunities with visitors to the Emirates stand throughout the three-day exhibition.

In addition, UAE national pilots, cabin crew and engineers, including two women engineering trainees, are available to share their experiences of training and working in Emirates and to answer visitors' queries.

Abdul Aziz Al Ali, Emirates' Executive Vice President Human Resources, said: "Emirates welcomes the opportunity to participate in Careers 2004 as it gives us a platform to raise awareness of the company and its career opportunities for the UAE community."

The stylish 72 square metre stand is on two levels and offers large seating areas for interviews and general enquiries. Special literature has been produced on the specific career development programmes available and two PCs are connected to the company's careers section for visitors to apply for jobs online.

Fahad Al Hassawi, recently appointed to the position of Emirates' Vice President Human Resources (Employee Services), in charge of National Recruitment & Development and the HR Service Centre, addressed the Dubai Human Resources Forum, which is running in conjunction with the exhibition.

His presentation, entitled "Emiratisation Best Practise", charted the course the Emirates Group is taking to attract the UAE's top high school and university graduates to ensure the company's continued success.

Mr Al Hassawi explained: "The Emirates Group is committed to the recruitment, development, progression and retention of young men and women to help meet the manpower strength required for its expansion.

"It's a dynamic and exciting company to work for, and, if men and women are prepared to work hard, they are guaranteed a fantastic career to look forward to!'
