Samsung appoints new distributors in UAE

Samsung Electronics, the regional and global leader in digital technology, today announced the appointment of Trigon Computers and Redington as their new distributors in the UAE.

Trigon Computers has been appointed, as distributor for Samsung's complete range of printing and imaging solutions, comprising printers and multi-function devices, and Redington has been appointed to distribute monitors, optical storage and hard disk drives.

"The distributors we have appointed went through a fair selection process accompanied by research that we engaged to understand the channel satisfaction with respect to various distributors in the region," said Mr. Taeho Roh, General Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.

Mr. Raj Shankar, Director, Redington Gulf FZE said, "The addition of Samsung to our brand portfolio is very strategic and will greatly enhance our sales revenue, image and channel reach. Given Redington's wealth of experience in the distribution business, and also its extensive and strong channel network, we are confident of augmenting the sales volume and brand domination for Samsung."

"Trigon and Redington are some of the foremost distributors of high-end information technology products in the UAE, as well as in the GCC. Their IT proficiency with products and peripherals, coupled with their existing customer set and distribution experience in the UAE set them apart during our final selection process. Trigon Computers is a fully owned company by prominent UAE businessmen from the Al Ghurair family, one of the top business families in the UAE, and the Arabian Gulf.
