FutureIT announces participation of a world-class speaker for post-conference workshop on IT Security

The FutureIT 2004 Workshop Committee has announced that Mr. Samer Omar, Vice President, Professional Services at IT Security Training and Solutions - I(TS)2 and an expert on information security, will be conducting a full-day post-conference workshop on Information Security Challenges at the FutureIT 2004 Conference and Exhibition.
Mr. Omar brings to the Middle East a vision of end-to-end security solutions based on the concept of Security Empowerment through Security Education. He brings more than thirteen years of Information Technology experience to the company, including extensive work with mission critical Operation Support Systems, Business Support Systems & Applications and IT Security.
Mr. Omar has also consulted for US government agencies such as Department of Defense (DOD), Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Department of Treasury and Department of Interior (DOI) as a IT and Security consultant. He has many industry certifications including being a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Sun Certified Solaris Administrator (CSA).

About FutureIT 2004 Conference & Exhibition
The Second Annual FutureIT 2004 Conference and Exhibition will be held under the patronage of HE Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Minister of Commerce in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The 4-day event shall take place at the Gulf International Exhibition Centre of the Gulf Hotel, Kingdom of Bahrain from the 9th to the 12th of May 2004. The event, which is being held for the second consecutive year after the outstanding success of FutureIT 2003, features a three-day IT Conference, IT Exhibition, and three parallel post-conference Workshops. The event is held in association with the Bahrain Internet Society.
