Statistics Centre hosts meeting for the Working Group

The Statistics Centre in Dubai Municipality recently hosted the second meeting of the Working Group formed for planning the research and studies on the results of the 'Comprehensive Economic Survey for Private Establishments'.

Arif Al Mehairi, Director of the Statistics Centre chaired the meeting held in the presence of Dr. Fatima Al Shamsi, Secretary, College of Management and Economics.

The meeting also discussed plans for the proposed academic seminar that will review the features of the economic status of private sector.

The Working Group was formed with representatives from the Statistics Centre in the Municipality and the College of Management and Economics. The meeting agreed upon placing two academic streams for studies, which will be done based on the results of the Comprehensive Economic Survey for Private Establishments.

The first stream of studies will be the "Role of private sector in the economic development of the Emirate of Dubai," and the second will be "Measuring productive efficiency and elements defining the success of private sector projects in the Emirate of Dubai."
