Fourth regional appointment for Air Arabia

Air Arabia LLC, UAE's national airline and first low-cost airline of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region, today announced the appointment of its Manager for Qatar - Khalid Abdulla Al Nasiri.
"With the appointment of our destination managers, we are ensuring that the Air Arabia brand, message, overall service and customer commitment is consistent throughout the region," said A.K. Nizar, Air Arabia's Commercial Manager.
A Qatari national, Nasiri is well fitted for the role with his aviation background. From his experiences with Gulf Air as Management Trainee from 1988 to 1989, Head of Security for the Middle East region from 1989 to 1991, Airport Manager 1992 to 2001 and Area Manager from 2001 to 2004, Nasiri has a vast knowledge of the aviation model for which to develop the Air Arabia concept within Qatar.
"We are investing considerable time in hand-picking every regional team member, ensuring that we have the right expertise and knowledge that are crucial for such a distinctive airline model in this region," concluded Nizar. Nasiri will be responsible for developing existing and new business opportunities through raising customer awareness, visibility and effective communication of Air Arabia within its Qatar operations.
Said Nasiri: "Joining the Air Arabia team as it continues its growth throughout the region and neighbouring countries is an exciting prospect." He added: "Furthermore, applying the expertise that I have accumulated to the Air Arabia business model is a challenge I am looking forward to."
Air Arabia is a Sharjah government-owned airline which is currently flying from Sharjah to Bahrain daily, Beirut daily, Damascus five days a week, Kuwait four days a week, Muscat four days a week, Alexandria five days a week, Assiut two days a week, Aleppo two days a week, Doha five days a week, Khartoum twice a week, Colombo four days a week, Shiraz twice a week and Tehran three times a week.
