Specialising in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions aimed at the retail and manufacturing sectors, the addition of 4Sight Technologies is indicative of Comtrust's efforts to attract experts in niche fields according to Ahmed Abdulkarim Julfar, General Manager, Comtrust.

'We are actively seeking to partner with specialist companies. Whether that specialisation is vertical industry focussed or technology focussed, we believe Comtrust has a lot to offer,' explained Julfar. 'In this case, Comtrust's extensive infrastructure and experience in the virtual space provides 4Sight technologies with an excellent platform to take its solutions to the market.'

4Sight Technolgies' Director, Nazeem Uddin, echoed these sentiments saying the partnership enhances 4Sight's ability to consult with, and assist customers. He added that becoming part of the CSP programme would help it deliver greater value to its customers.

'Our solutions are traditionally web-based, so by utilising Comtrust's excellent infrastructure our customers will experience improved performance when accessing our software over the net without having to make further investment.'

Uddin also said that its new partnership with Comtrust will bring greater transparency to its offerings. 'When proposing our solutions, we can provide total costs with details of the hosting service from Comtrust to our customers. This will give a clearer idea of running expenses to our customers.'

According to Uddin, the two e-solutions providing entities are already exploring options to grow the relationship. 'We would like to work with Comtrust to co-promote 4Sight-ERP by jointly hosting the application and selling the solution to customers via an ASP model. This is something we are currently exploring.'

Meanwhile, the two partners said they are currently in discussions that will see Comtrust hosting 4Sight Technology applications and servers. 'The customer will own the solution, however a monthly instalment plan will mean customers will not have to invest in the solution all at once making it a much more viable option financially,' said Julfar.
