BenQ's screen technology revolution on display at Oman COMEX
- Oman: Tuesday, April 13 - 2004 at 12:54
- PRESS RELEASE
Business visitors to the ongoing Oman COMEX-2004 IT and telecommunication exhibition from 12th-15th April will be able to see for themselves the revolution that's taking place in display screen technology.
"Omani businesses are starting to make much more use of multi-media technology to give a professional gloss to presentations and business pitches," said Mr B C Fernandes, head of Loay International, BenQ's distributor in Oman. "In the past three months the FP2081 has become a top seller. The FP2081's big, 51cm screen has a handy tilt-and-swivel function - yet it's only half the depth of a traditional cathode-ray tube (CRT) display."
Setting a new standard for monitors is the BenQ FP783. The FP783's ultra-fine viewing ensures a better working environment in terms of legibility, image stability, emission, energy saving and safety.
Users' eyes don't get tired in the way they do with conventional monitors. In another clever design touch, two high-quality stereo speakers stand right under the monitor so as to save on limited table space.
BenQ's products have as much to offer at play as at work, however. BenQ is also applying its revolutionary screen technology to televisions, and COMEX visitors to will be able to see the sky-high standards of picture quality and enjoyment that the latest products can bring to the home.
BenQ's latest 26" and 30" LCD TVs feature five different environmental settings to provide a perfect image anywhere from bright to dark rooms. They automatically convert the 24 frames per second signal of motion picture DVDs to the 60 frames per second broadcast standard of television.
"That means needle-sharp picture quality equal to that of the finest cinema screens," says Fernandes. "There is no flicker whatsoever."
Booming speakers produce impressive stereo surround sound effects for a realistic, live-sound stereo surround-sound effect experience. The TVs also feature a sleep timer and backlight adjustment. Viewers can even freeze-frame during a TV broadcast.
BenQ's new models are environmentally-friendly, too. They use 40 per cent less power than a conventional CRT TV and create far less radiation so viewing your favourite programmes is easier on the eye than ever before.
