To date, Mr Louesse has had an impressive 17-year career in the IT industry. He has spent the last 14 years with IBM and has held various senior positions with the company in his native France as well as in the French West Indies and most recently in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"Thierry brings a number of strengths to GBM Qatar. These include considerable expertise in the data storage area as well as strong business development skills, cultivated through a commendable track record with IBM in Dubai where he held specific responsibility for IBM's PC business throughout the GCC, Levant, Africa, and the West Asian region," said Cesare Cardone, Chief Executive Officer, GBM.

Worldwide distinctions from IBM - including the 'Golden Circle', 'Best Manager' and 'Best Sales Manager' awards - and his membership in IBM's 100% Achievement Club for 13 consecutive years complement Mr Louesse's academic qualifications. These include an MBA in Economic Sciences from the University of Aix-en-Provence in France and an IT Commercial Engineering degree from IBM.
