"We are here to re-write home entertainment. Samsung's new home theatre systems will allow consumers to enjoy a premium theatre experience in the convenience of their own homes. As a digital convergence leader, Samsung is always pushing the boundaries of product versatility and design. With the launch of our HT-DB1850 and HT-DB1750, Home Theatre Systems, we are ready to provide our consumers with a whole new world of digital entertainment," said Mr. H.J.Park, Senior Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.

"The 'Rear Reflecting Surround System' (RRSS), Samsung's proprietary technology, is a revolutionary speaker technology that combines front and rear speaker in one enclosure. Listeners get the genuine surround effect without having to go through the hassle of wiring for a rear speaker. RRSS works on the principle of sound from the rear speaker in a combined system reflecting from the sidewall and ceiling. The RRSS can create reflected rear sound similar to what one can hear from an actual rear speaker," said Mr. Ashraf Sajid, Sales and Marketing Manager, Samsung Gulf Electronics.

"sDSM, another one of our proprietary technologies, gives the highest quality sound through Auto-Sound Calibration (ASC), Live Surround Mode (LSM) and virtual headphones. The systems also have a sophisticated progressive scanning function for sharper image quality and 600 watt speakers with Dolby Surround Pro Logic II support," Sajid added.

ASC enables listeners to enjoy sound by simply pressing an auto setup button. By adjusting signal tones from six speakers, the best sound environment is automatically created, regardless of where the listener is sitting. The Super 5.1 channel function converts any 2 channel stereo sound into 5.1 channel surround sound so that listeners can enjoy life-like 5.1 channel surround impact. With the virtual headphones, listeners can enjoy perfect 5.1 channel surround sound using ordinary headphones without disturbing others.
