- PRESS RELEASE
Bride, the annual exhibition for the discerning bride-to-be and wedding organisers, is to become an international event from next year, according to organisers IIR Exhibitions.
Research from this year's exhibition, which closes tonight at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, has identified a move towards more Western weddings in the region. To cater to this shift in demand, IIR Exhibitions will bring internationally renowned designers to Bride 2005.
"In addition to more global exhibitors we will bring the international wedding and fashion press to the event. Dubai is becoming a popular choice for couples keen to marry abroad and the foreign press are eager to write about the region," said Lee.
Bride 2004 features up to 20 high-end couture fashion shows promoting Middle East and international top designers.
A Young Designers award show will be tonight's finale of Bride 2004. Sponsored by Swarovski, this high-profile award will see 29 selected entrants from five of Dubai and Sharjah's top design colleges vying for the prize of an internship at Sohad's studio, a leading UAE fashion house.
