The event held for the sixth time on the university campus, with the theme 'Peace Throughout the World', sported the look of a mini global village as students displayed their various heritage and culture as part of its Annual Global Day.

The DTCM participated by creating a replica of the Hatta Heritage Village which projected the ancient life and style of the UAE. The mini village was complete with a tent, a majlis, traditional Arabic food, henna and even displayed the ancient forms of farming and irrigation.

His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qassimi, the Crown Prince of Sharjah visited the DTCM village and was given a tour of it. At the end of the tour, he was presented with a memento by DTCM Manager Hatta Village Mr. Khalid Ali bin Gharib.

The event is part of the university's activities that seek to build the personality of the students and aims to help them exchange views and develop tolerance and understanding by learning from each other's cultures and traditions. The last Global day had attracted 20,000 visitors.
