NEC introduces its new powerful sub-entry server

The new addition to the NEC Express5800 family range offers exceptional value to small and medium sized companies.

Available in the Middle East as of April 2004, through the reseller network of NEC Computers International (NEC CI), the Express5800/TM700 server is designed to offer the highest level of performance and data protection at a minimal cost.

This server features the most recent technologies such as the latest Pentium 4 Processor, up to 500GB of fast S-ATA internal storage and 800 MHz FSB and the integration of a flexible RAID controller (0,1).

"The NEC Express5800/TM700 ensures security and performance for any small and medium sized business in the Middle East with a minimum investment," said Denis Bellicam, Marketing Director - Server and Storage Product Group - Professional Division - NEC CI.

According to IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Server Tracker, server market revenue worldwide grew at 11.4% to $13.7 billion in the fourth quarter of 2003, marking the third consecutive quarter of positive growth. Worldwide server unit shipments grew dramatically by 22%, compared with the year-ago period.

"Worldwide server market posted double digit revenue growth in the fourth quarter of 2003 according to IDC, with a significant chunk of it being attributed to the robust growth of the sector in the Mid East," said Lenia Iacovides, Managing Director, interFRONTIERS representative in the Middle East and South Eastern Europe.
