Citrix Solutions Conference 2004 returns to Riyadh
- Saudi Arabia: Monday, April 19 - 2004 at 16:14
- PRESS RELEASE
Building on the tremendous success of last year's Citrix iForum, the Citrix Solutions Conference 2004, which has become one of the largest IT events in the Middle East, is being held at the Al Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh on the 27th of April 2004, when more than 1,000 information technology and business professionals from around the region are expected to attend.
The Citrix Solutions Conference first day welcome note will be given by Frederic Tourisseau, VP, Citrix Southern Europe. This is followed by a full one-day agenda comprising Customer Executive Testimonials, business and technical presentations by key Citrix and Partner speakers, who will look at how having an access infrastructure, deploying Citrix technology will also drive down total cost of ownership (TCO) and maximising return on investment (ROI).
Importantly, this conference also features the official Saudi launch of the exciting new generation of Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite products.
"The Citrix Solutions Conference is an annual event that has firmly established its footprint in the Middle East with two major events last year in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. This fourth one, following on from the successful UAE event in January, promises be the biggest yet," said Antoine Aguado, Regional Manager, Citrix Middle East. "This year the conference aims to support the region and our Enterprise Customers using the Internet and combining fixed and mobile network access, to give people reliable, secure access to any application, accessing information they need, anywhere, over any connection and on any device. It is an important event that will allow us to help Middle East organisations to do this effectively and efficiently."
Citrix and its partners will focus on the latest solutions that overcome today's business challenges in: maximising access to centralised enterprise applications with existing/low bandwidth, application and data security, simplifying management and accelerating enterprise application deployment, disaster recovery and business continuity, instantly webifying applications - and all, whilst driving down TCO and maximising ROI.
"Citrix access infrastructure, combined with solutions from partners such as Microsoft, IBM/SBM, ForeVision and Peribit, is transforming Middle East organisations into On-Demand enterprises by allowing them to access the information and applications they need to make decisions faster, be more productive and provide better customer service," continued Aguado.
This year Citrix has reached 40,000 users in the Middle East and growing - especially in government, finance, hospitals and the private sector of the Kingdom.
Citrix Solutions Conference delegates will also gather insight from customer testimonials and panel discussions with leading technology companies and Middle East end-user organisations such as King Faisal Specialist Hospital, the Ministry of Hajj, the National Guard, the Saudi Hollandi Bank, and SABIC.
"The Citrix Solutions Conference will have something interesting for both the businessman and the IT professional. We have split the afternoon session into parallel sessions with a Citrix technical track focusing on Citrix solutions, a Partner Solutions track featuring partner offerings and joint workshops, and a business track that will look at how these solutions provide real return on investment, reduce the total cost of enterprise computing and improve employee productivity," said Jacques Chammas, managing director, Mindware FFZ LLC.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit Citrix partner pavilions showcasing solutions from more than a dozen IT companies that are sponsoring the Citrix Solutions Conference 2004, including Forevision Business Solutions, SBM, IBM, Microsoft Arabia, Peribit, Acer, Arabic Computer Systems Ltd., Beta Networking Professionals, Ebttikar, Jeraisy Computer and Communication Services, Mid East Data Systems, Natcom, New Horizon Computer Learning Centers, Premier IT, and Specialist for Computer Systems.
