Mashreqbank appoints UAE National as Head of HR

Mashreqbank has appointed UAE national Salem Al Zubaidi as the new Head of its Human Resources Division.

An experienced HR professional, Al Zubaidi worked for more than four years as Senior Manager for Human Resources at HSBC Bank Middle East. Based in Dubai, he played a regional role and gained valuable insight into regional compensation practices. Prior to that, he occupied several senior HR positions in Abu Dhabi Gas Liquefaction Company (ADGAS) for over 20 years.

"We warmly welcome Salem to the Mashreqbank family. He is a truly exceptional HR professional and we have every confidence he will excel in this key role." said Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair CEO of Mashreqbank.

Al Zubaidi comes to the bank with proven expertise across the full spectrum of human resource development issues. He will be responsible for developing and monitoring the bank's human resources strategy, as well as policies and procedures to further enhance the skills of the bank's workforce.

Al Zubaidi is currently the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Dubai Human Development Award, an initiative of the Dubai Economic Department, a professional member of the American Society for Training & Development and the Institute of the Personnel Management Manpower Planning Association.
