- PRESS RELEASE
Dabur Olive Hair Oil, the region's first olive hair oil, exclusively formulated to meet the hair care needs of women in the Middle East, was formally launched at a select media event yesterday.
Launching the new hair oil in Dubai today, Mr. Anant Narayan, General Manager, Marketing & Sales, Redrock Ltd, the exclusive Middle East licensee of Dabur India Limited, said: "Dabur Olive Hair Oil is the first olive oil product specifically formulated for hair to be launched in the Middle East. It is an extra virgin olive oil enriched with cactus and almonds and is the perfect hair care solution for users in the region. It provides complete nourishment to the hair whilst protecting against hair loss, which is a rampant problem here due to the adverse weather conditions.
"Olive oil forms an integral part of traditional Arab lifestyle, and generations of women have relied on the natural benefits of olive oil to keep their hair strong and healthy. The new Dabur Olive Hair Oil comes with a pleasing Arabic fragrance that has been rated as the most preferred fragrance amongst the Arab women in consumer research," he added.
The product is available in clear, unbreakable PET packs, especially designed to provide enhanced visibility and easy handling.
"We developed Dabur Olive Hair Oil following an exhaustive market research that indicated the need for a special olive-based hair oil amongst both Arab nationals and expatriates. Owing to the lack of an existing brand, edible olive oils were used for the purpose," said Mr Narayan.
The hair-oil market in the GCC is valued at Dhs100 million. Mr Narayan added: "Dabur Amla hair oil is the largest hair oil brand in the GCC and commands more than 50 per cent of the market. Dabur Vatika Hair Oil, another key Dabur brand, is the market leader in the value-added pure coconut hair oils category. With the launch of the new Dabur Olive Hair Oil, we will be able to consolidate our pre-eminent position in the hair oil market here."
