His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Group, shakes hands with Mr Enver Moretti, Vice President of Danzas AEI for Middle East/Africa, after the new five year logistics contract was signed between the two companies.
The contract involves Danzas AEI managing the movement of many thousands of shipments from all over the world - including engineering spares, mechanical supplies, and catering equipment - that are required to support the leading carrier's rapid expansion in aircraft and new routes.

The contract signing was held recently under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates Group, Mr Enver Moretti, Vice President of Danzas AEI for Middle East/Africa and Mr John Corrigan, General Manager of Danzas AEI.

At the signing, Sheikh Ahmed highlighted the importance of Danzas AEI in the continuing growth of the region's leading airline: "With a fleet size of more than 60 aircraft and significant expansion plans in the coming years, the timely provision of specialised parts and supplies is crucial to our ongoing delivery of service excellence.

"I am pleased that our partnership with Danzas AEI has been extended for an additional five years, a period that will see the airline's continued expansion."

Speaking on behalf of Danzas AEI, Mr Moretti commented, "we are proud of the long and close association between Emirates and Danzas AEI. The responsibility that Emirates has given us to provide worldwide logistics services for the fast-growing and innovative airline, until at least 2009, is a very exciting and challenging project for us."
