Al Wasit Machinery forges strategic partnership with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.

Al Wasit Machinery, the flagship of Al Wasit Group of Companies in U.A.E, has signed a strategic partnership with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd to have exclusive dealership of Hyundai construction equipment for UAE and Oman.

Hyundai, one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy machinery and construction equipment, has entered into this partnership with the objective of getting a sizable market share in the booming construction industry in UAE and Oman. The construction industry in the UAE is currently growing at a phenomenal rate of 14% with investments worth more than $25 billion coming in during 2001-03.

"Al Wasit is the best dealer that we can find in the region" said Mr. Hwan Ki Joo, GM for Hyundai, in a joint press conference held yesterday at the JW Marriott Hotel. "Because of its vast experience that spans three decades and a well established name in the market, we are confident that Al Wasit will represent us in a most professional manner."

"The primary aim of this partnership is to provide high quality products at competitive prices to our customers who are involved in executing prestigious infrastructural projects such as roads, bridges, dams, sewer systems, land reclamation, earth moving, etc." said Mr. Abdul Qader Ahmed Mohammed, CEO of Al Wasit Group.
