- PRESS RELEASE
Decision-makers from some of the region's highest profile organizations are expected in Dubai for the first ever Middle East Leadership Summit hosted by PeopleSoft, the world second largest provider of enterprise application software, it was announced today.
Senior PeopleSoft managers, including Guy Dubois, executive vice president, PeopleSoft, Europe Middle East and Africa, will address the key decision makers during the event at the Grand Hyatt on June 8.
Other Middle East-based industry leaders, such as Dr. Omar Bin Sulaiman, chief executive officer of Dubai Internet City, Evan Powell, general manager IT, Al Tayer Group, and Torben Pedersen, senior analyst from IDC, will discuss the latest trends in the regional enterprise resource planning (ERP) market, and new technological developments.
"The first Middle East PeopleSoft Leadership Summit will provide an opportunity for decision-makers in the region to learn about the importance of enterprise resource planning to regional companies, and the business benefits it offers," said Tim Caulkett, regional director, PeopleSoft, Middle East.
The invitation-only event follows similar successful summits in the United States and Europe, where notable speakers have included former General Electric CEO Jack Welch, and former U.S. Secretary of State Madeline Albright.
"The decision to hold a Leadership Summit in the Middle East demonstrates the growing significance of the region for the world technology market, and the level of maturity in this market for ERP solutions," said Caulkett. "We look forward to welcoming key industry leaders from across the region to Dubai."
Following the morning event, current PeopleSoft customers will have the opportunity to elect members to the first ever PeopleSoft Middle East User Group. The independent group will be able to interact directly with senior PeopleSoft managers in the region, and exchange ideas around the deployment of PeopleSoft technology.
