Under the high Patronage of the President of the Republic of Lebanon H.E. General Emile LAHOUD, Beirut will play host to 'ARABCOM 2004', the 7th Annual Arab International Telecom Development Forum & Expo for the Arab world, from 16 to 17 June 2004 in Movenpick Hotel Beirut.
ARABCOM events have taken place since 1998 and are especially noted for their importance in gathering together in one venue major representatives of both the Public and Private sectors from the Telecommunications & IT community.
The Forum will cover 9 sessions where 25 Expert International Speakers from the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, IDC, Gulf Cooperation Council, Analysis, World Market Research and many other organizations and companies will focus on: *Market Overview & Predictions - *Regulation, Market Liberalization & Privatization - *Promoting ICT Investments - *Strategies in a Competitive Market New Incumbent - *Evolution of Wireless Connectivity : The WI FI MAX - *Increasing Revenue Generation - *Billing and CRM Solutions - *Servicing Remote and Underdeveloped Areas - *Internet Protocol Services & Implementation
Operators & Regulators Round Tables in addition to Panel Discussions will witness hot interaction with the audience during Q&A sessions.
Several Arab Ministers of telecom have already confirmed their participation, in addition to many Arab GSM operators such as: Ogero Telecom, MTC Vodafone, Wataniya Telecom, Syrian Telecom Establishment, Algerie Telecom, Saudi Telecom Company, Al Jawwal, El Madar, Sabafon, Sudatel, Jordan Telecom Regulatory Commission, Morocco Telecom, Tunisie Telecom, OmanTel, Mobinil, Palestine Telecom, etc…
It is expected that around 500 International Delegates will attend the event.
Running in parallel to the Forum, many international and leading Telecom companies will be exhibiting and demonstrating the latest as well as emerging solutions, services and products.
Katia Tayar, CEO of ARABCOM HITEK, the organizer of ARABCOM 2004, announced that this event will attract interested international and regional governments, organizations, and private companies at a time when huge changes are taking place in the region, to benefit from the latest topics that will be discussed, and to take active part in the panel discussions.
